About This Project
PDI Technologies focuses on providing technology and data solutions to convenience-centric businesses, particularly in the retail and petroleum wholesale sectors. Their solutions aim to help businesses increase profits, simplify operations, and engage customers more effectively.
Strategy
The ask was to design a customer-facing UI interface, Retail App Management Portal (RAMP), that allowed convenience store marketing persons and operators to manage their loyalty program app interface independently of the PDI team resources managing the design, content, and experience for them.
Approach
Working within the PDI Technologies limited design system and high-level business requirements, I diagramed initial user roles, flows, and stories for both the user admin interface and the app management interface. I developed a full prototype of the entire product while conducting both weekly requirements discussions and stakeholder review cycles. I developed a deep catalogue of components and design system enhancements and regularly facilitated reviews with the PDI UX/UI team for coordination and ingestion of Figma assets.
Result
I handed off a production-ready Figma prototype, annotations of all new components in the library, and documentation for the design system elements so PDI Technologies development and UI teams could pick up from that handoff.
