Chicago Basin - 2020

Five night, six day hike from Durango ski resort up to the epic Chicago Basin at 10,500 feet. Attempt to summit Sunlight and Windom but abandoned due to sub freezing temperatures and amount of remaining snow at 13,000 feet. The summit of North Eolus was amazing and a challenge to 18 inches of soft snow at the 13,500 foot portion of the trail. Can't wait to go back and complete Sunlight and Windom. #chicagobasin #northeolus #14er
